"Does you size define your true beauty?"

This poster is made by Dove. It is made to promote their beauty product. They are also the ones financing for its advertisement. They used the internet in advertising this product. It seems that it was made during the real beauty campaign. The techniques they used in making this poster are emphasis, proximity, organization, contrast, and other techniques on the text. They also used center of interest on the picture. These were used to catch the attention of the audience by asking questions and focusing on the picture of the woman. The target audience are women who are conscious about their body figure. Thus, every woman will get benefit from this message. Although, there will be women who will get harm from the poster. They are the women who are being portrayed in the poster.

They used the fat woman to make us think that, most of the time, people are conscious of their size while appreciating their beauty. Thus, giving an idea to people that being slim is better. However, other people might also think that confidence makes a person beautiful.

This matters to us because it reminds us that beauty does not comes from the shape of our body or our physical appearances. While seeing these kinds of posters, we should keep in mind that we should always take positive actions towards the poster. It is because all of us may have different opinions towards an issue, thus having different interpretations of them. As we said, every one of us may have different views on this. Thus, making this poster as an opinion-based. It was not supported by facts or evidences. It just left the people with a question that is to be answered by their own.

This message tells us about being confident no matter what your figure is. This message reminds us of the saying “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
